Romans 12:22 – Let God change you into a new person by changing the way you think. We need our minds renewed in Christ, for the gospel is foolishness to the unsaved.
Test me and know my anxious thoughts – God will teach you to confront your thoughts and replace them with things of the Spirit. Set your min on things that are good and noble. Bless those that curse you, pray for those that misuse you.
We are to respond to all enemies with Christ-like love. Christ said that when the vicious enemy Romans were against the Christians. Love brings people into the kingdom.
Love is a decision. We must decide to make that commitment. The word the Lord uses for love is not an emotion, but the will to do someone good. Do good to those that hate you.
The natural reaction is to defend ourselves against hateful words. We must remove self and be careful not to tear down the enemy in our defense. Respond in love. Our actions need to be generous toward the other person. It is easy to get mad and want to get even.
God will help us to measure up. Jesus calls for what can only be done supernaturally through the Lord!
Our reward is to be a child of God because we have reflected His love, for He loved us when we were yet evil sinners. He will give us joy and peace. People will know there is something different about you. We can call our Father “Daddy” and go to Him at any time.
