At the transfiguration of Christ, Peter needed to be quiet and witness what was happening. We often speak out of God’s grace, thinking we need to do or say something instead of focusing on God’s glory and what He is doing.
Jesus was transfigured, a face glowing like the sun and His raiment didn’t just glisten, it was compared to lightning shooting out. Surrounded by peaks of white snow, He was full of God’s glory. The disciples were filled with fear, but the word for that fear was only used one other time, when Moses viewed God’s glory from the cleft of the rock! Jesus was transfigured into God’s full glory to His disciples.
“Lord I believe, help my unbelief.” The father’s cry to Jesus to release his demon possessed son. We cannot ask too much (or too little) of God.
Jesus said “He must go to Samaria”. We are the outcasts, the hated of others, but Jesus chooses to come to us where we are. Nothing is too big or too far out for Him. No one is too lost for Him to reach.
The conviction of the Holy Spirit can transcend language barriers. There is no barrier too great. We must be ready for the battles by putting on the full armor of God. David got 5 stones, not because h feared he would miss, but because he was ready to continue the fight!
We need to quit letting the giants stomp around our camp. We have been given the power and authority to stop them. When God tells us to do something, we need to listen and do it. Be prepared!
